Android TV: Find the Model name, Serial number, and Software version of your Goggle box

Yous can detect the model name, series number, and software version of your Android TV™ or Google Idiot box™ in the following:

On the original packaging

Model Name and Serial on the box

  • Included in the box is a User Manual where you tin also find the Model number.

On the product stickers

You can normally find these stickers at the back of the Telly, or engraved on the Telly front panel.

Note: The model and series numbers are unlike.

Android TV and Google Television set:

  1. Printing the HELP button on the remote control.

    Note: If your remote control does not have a Help button, refer to the NOTE below step ii.

  2. The next steps will depend on your Television receiver menu options:
    • Select System information in the Condition & Diagnostics or Troubleshooting and organization data category.
    • Select Contact & Back up.
    • For W8, X7 series: The model name is displayed at the lesser left of the screen.

  1. Press the HOME button on the remote control.
    For Google Tv set models: Press the gear icon (Quick settings) button on the remote control.
  2. Proceed according to your TV menu options:
    • Select Settings → Help and Feedback → Aid → Status & Diagnostics → Organization information.
    • Select Apps → Help → Organization information in the Status & Diagnostics or Troubleshooting and system information Category.
    • Select Help → System information in the Troubleshooting and organization information Category.
    • Select Settings → BRAVIA Settings → Customer Back up → Contact & Support.

For TVs other than Android Telly:

  1. Press the Abode button on the remote control.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Select Organization Settings or Production Back up.
  4. Select Client Support or Arrangement Information.
  5. For the Tv set models released after 2015: Select Product Data.

Note:

  • For the models released in 2014:
    HOME → ?(Aid) → Customer Support → System Information
  • Steps may differ depending on the model and software version.
